“Providing innovative learning opportunities for students,” leads the mission statement for Claiborne Virtual Learning Academy, the newest addition to the Claiborne County Board of Education district. Located at 1403 Tazewell Road, Building #3, in Tazewell, Tennessee, CVLA welcomes students who are Claiborne County residents and in grades five through ten to join our school and become official hawks! The principal is Dr. Early Perkins, and he is joined by two anchor teachers: Nancy Hansard and Lisa Cupp. Students are welcomed to CVLA with a provided Chromebook for studies and a facility that offers a comforting environment and instructional lab setting. Claiborne Virtual Learning Academy continues to be a work in progress, but we are headed forward and upward.
