Wow…Can you believe spring is almost here? Only 3 more months of school left this school year! Lots of fun things are in the works for the upcoming weeks. First of all, Read Across America Spirit Week is scheduled for Feb. 27th – March 3rd. Students brought home a flyer last week with the special themed days. It is also on the homepage of this webpage.
Thirty students were drawn from the Caught Doing Good ticket drawing and will be having pizza with me on Feb. 28th. This is always a fun lunch and a special way to celebrate good behavior. We’ll be having another drawing soon! In addition to 30 student names, 5 teacher names were drawn out and rewarded a little something special for giving out caught doing good tickets to students throughout the building. Way to go Mrs. Paula, Mrs. Misty, Mrs. Tracy, Mrs. Bridget, and Mrs. Louisa!
We just finished up our annual 100 can challenge in honor of the 100th day of school. Each homeroom was challenged to collect 100 cans of food. Nine homerooms was successful in meeting this challenge and will receive free ice cream! All together we collected a little over 1700 cans of food to be donated to area food banks.
